In the traditional game of 90 Ball Bingo, the tickets are sold in strips of six. Each ticket has three rows of numbers arranged in a 9x3 grid. Five numbers are displayed at random on each row so that a strip of six tickets contains all the numbers from 1 to 90. When a game is played, balls numbered from 1 to 90 are drawn at random. In turn players mark off their corresponding number on each call. While tickets are usually sold in strips, the winners are determined by individual tickets. In fact, Ruby Bingo has enhanced the game by allowing players to buy single tickets as well as strips. The objective of the game is to mark off complete rows of numbers. There are three prize-winning opportunities in each game. The first stage prize goes to the first player to mark all numbers on any single line. The second stage is for any two lines on the same ticket and the third stage or full house winner has to have marked all three lines on one ticket. Every game also has an additional opportunity to win a jackpot by achieving the full house win within a predetermined number of calls. 75 Ball Bingo is based on the same gaming principle, but uses 75 balls with tickets containing 24 random numbers from 1 to 75 arranged in a 5x5 square. The 25th number in the centre is traditionally given as a free square. While the ticket layout for each game is identical, the objective is determined by the pattern which has been set for each game. These patterns can vary from blackouts, where all 24 numbers have to be marked, to a simple cross. At Ruby Bingo many hundreds of patterns are used to create variety in the game. The aim is to be the first player to mark off all the numbers in the correct pattern for that game. Unlike 90 Ball Bingo which has three stages, 75 Ball has a single prize. However some games can feature animated patterns where a win can be claimed on any of the pattern positions. As well as prizes, jackpots are offered to players who can match the pattern within a preset number of calls.
