90 Ball Bingo

90 Ball Bingo is played on a strip of six tickets, each of which has a 3 x 9 grid pre-filled with five numbers and four blanks per line. The objective is to be the first to get one line, two lines or all three - a Full House.

75 Ball Bingo

75 Ball Bingo is played on a ticket consisting of 24 random numbers between 1 and 75 in a 5 x 5 grid with the centre square free. Each game plays for either, 1 line, 2 line, 3 lines, 4 lines and a full house.  Or if the game is pattern bingo then the game will play for a combination of; one line and pattern, pattern and full house, pattern 1, pattern 2 and full house or one line, pattern and full house.  The objective is to be the first player to complete the combination as advertised at the start of the game.

80 Ball Bingo

80 Ball Bingo is played on a ticket consisting of 16 numbers made up of four rows and four columns.  Each game plays for either any line win, which could consist of; a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line, four centre squares or four middle squares and/or 2 lines, 3 lines and the full house.  The objective is to be the first player to complete the combination as advertised at the start of the game.

Bingo Bonus

A special prize awarded in certain competitions. Every Bingo Bonus is different and is specified by the terms of the competition or the CM. The Bingo Bonus will show in your Bingo Balance at the top of the bingo lobby.  

Bingo Room

Ruby Bingo offers a great range of bingo rooms.  You’ll need to choose and enter a Bingo Room in order to purchase bingo tickets and participate in the game.  Each bingo room offers different types of bingo, with varying ticket prices, prizes, jackpots and game speed. Ruby Bingo’s rooms are displayed by game type in the bingo lobby.  Once inside the bingo room, you’ll also be able to play side games whilst waiting for the next bingo game.  In the games menu, you can find, slots, scratchcards, keno, casino games and more.

Bingo Caller

The voice that announces the numbers is referred to as the Bingo Caller.  It is possible to switch the Bingo Caller on/off, via the options menu

Bonus Codes

For certain promotions we may provide you with a Bonus Code that we’ll ask you to input into the Bonus Codes tab at the top of the bingo lobby screen. You’ll need to insert the code before playing to make sure you take full advantage of the promotion. 

Call Board

During a game of bingo, as soon as a number has been generated, it is displayed on the call board.  All the numbers that are called in a game are stored on the call board until the game has been completed.  

Chat Games

Our CMs love to get everyone involved while they are playing bingo and to add a bit of spice to a game. Look out for when our CMs announce they are about to play Chat Games. They’ll explain the rules and what can be won.

Chat Moderator (CM)

The Chat Moderator is your host in the chat room but also your entertainer, your friend and helping hand. The CM is also there to make sure the basic rules of chat etiquette are observed.

Chat Name

When you open your account and enter the bingo lobby for the first time, you’ll be asked to provide a Chat Name.  This is what will be displayed in the Chat Room when you’re talking to other players. 

Chat Room

A chat room is the heart and soul of an online bingo game. It is here that players meet and make friends (buddies), exchange news and views and join in the Chat Games organized by the CM.

Coverall

Coverall is a term used in 75 ball bingo to describe the pattern which requires all numbers on a ticket to be called. It is also called a blackout but more often known as a Full House. Even in a coverall game, the centre square of the ticket is given free.

Fixed Jackpot

Most bingo games will play for a Fixed prize jackpot as well as a prize. The jackpot goes to the first player to achieve the full house or the pattern for that game within a published number of balls.  

Full House

Full House is the traditional cry in UK bingo halls when a player wins. In online bingo, House normally refers to the player who is the first to mark off all the numbers on a ticket. 

Game Bonus

A prize awarded in certain promotions. The amount will be specified in the terms and conditions of the contest or by the CM. The Game Bonus credit will be shown in the Games Bonus account at the top of the bingo lobby.

Game Schedule

Open the bingo lobby and you’ll be able to select the schedule button for each room. It will show which games are being played when, the maximum number of tickets you can purchase and the price of each ticket.  You can even purchase your tickets direct from the bingo schedule for any bingo game up to 7 days in advance.

Linked Bingo Game

Several Bingo Linx games are played daily at Ruby Bingo.  These games can be identified by a yellow and blue link symbol in the game schedule.  In order to pay out big prize money, players across the bingo network are all linked together whilst Bingo Linx game is played.

Minimum/Maximum Ticket Purchase

Some bingo game have a minimum number of tickets that have to be purchased in order to play.  All bingo games have a maximum number of tickets that can be purchased.  Furthermore some games are played "Fair and Square" where all players have to buy the same number of tickets.  Ticket purchasing details will always be visible in the game schedule.

Mini Lobby

Inside the bingo room is a “Mini Lobby” button.  Once selected, players can use the mini lobby to either add more rooms or to quickly change the bingo room they are playing in.

Multi-Mode

Once inside a bingo room, players can add more rooms to the game screen by selecting the “add room” option in the mini lobby.  Players can add and play in up to 3 bingo rooms at the same time.

Multi-variant Bingo

Multi-variant bingo allows you to play 90 Ball, 80 Ball, 75 Ball and Speed bingo in the same room.

One Line, Two lines

A 90 ball bingo game has three phases. In the first phase, the player to first achieve one horizontal line is the one line winner. The game will continue until a player achieves two lines and finally all three lines or full house.  

Pattern

75 ball bingo features different ticket patterns which are the arrangement of squares on the ticket that the player has to achieve in order to win the game. Some patterns are animated and can be won on any of the "frames".  Pattern details are shown in the bingo room whilst the game is in play.

Pre-buying tickets

You can pre-buy your tickets for a normal bingo game up to a week in advance.  Special “Big Money” games can be purchased up to 30 days in advance. This means you can take part in big prize games even if you’re not online playing at the time the game runs. You can pre-buy games through the Schedule screen of the bingo lobby. 

Private Bingo Rooms

From time to time, players may be given access to a private bingo room, where special games and prizes will be offered.  Entry to the private bingo room is either by special invite or by meeting a passing a set qualification process.

Prize

The prize is the pot of money played for in each bingo game and is calculated based on the number of tickets sold in that game. (the more tickets sold, the bigger the prize).  The prize is won by the player or players who first achieve the pattern or, in 90 ball bingo, the one line, two line or full house. The prize being played for is displayed in the bingo room at the start of the bingo game. 

Progressive Jackpot

A small portion of the price of bingo tickets is paid into a progressive jackpot fund, which grows over time as players buy tickets. These jackpots are paid out to players who achieve "Bingo" within a predetermined number of balls. 

RNG

Ruby bingo uses an RNG or Random Number Generator to ensure that the balls are called in a totally random order. The RNG has to be independently tested and certified by the licensing authority.

Side Games

Side games can be played in every bingo room.  Ruby Bingo offers a wide variety of Slots and Scratchcards, many with progressive jackpots.  Casino games and Keno can also be played alongside the bingo game.

Speed Bingo

In speed bingo the numbers are called much quicker. This results in a much faster and more exciting game.

Split Pot

Occasionally two or more players will claim at the same time. If this happens, the pot is split and shared equally between the winning players. This also applies to jackpot wins.

Tickets

To join a bingo game, every player has to purchase one or more tickets.   Bingo tickets differ depending on the bingo variant chosen i.e. 90 ball, 80 ball etc etc.  Ticket prices and quantities vary on each game.
